Bureau of Indian Affairs – U.S. Department of the Interior
The United States has an important relationship with the 574 federally-recognized tribes and, through the Bureau of Indian Affairs, is responsible for the allocation and distribution of funds that support the needs of approximately 1.9 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. Upper Mohawk, Inc. helped to complete a comprehensive assessment of all funding streams and processes used to allocate and distribute these important funds, leading to four quality recommendations for process improvement.
Robins Air Force Base – U.S. Air Force
Upper Mohawk, Inc. provided financial systems data retrievals and analysis, financial management services, quality validation, customer service and administrative support to the 78th Comptroller and Contracting Squadron, helping them to achieve the number one ranking by the Air Force Material Command in financial measures. We worked to improve travel voucher timeliness and reduce delinquent travel orders, while providing quality assurance, analysis of non-appropriated funds and defense travel system support.
Office of Historical Trust Account – U.S. Department of the Interior
Since 2002, Upper Mohawk, Inc. has worked to help return funds held in Special Deposit Accounts (SDAs) to their rightful owners. These efforts include researching the ownership of SDAs through searches of land transactions, individual Indian money accounts, and historical data and analyzing past distribution and tribial litigation efforts. By the end of the contract, we exceeded the agency’s goals for SDA and Youpee account distribution by 300%.
GE Aviation (formerly General Electric Aircraft Engines)
Upper Mohawk, Inc. assisted GE Aviation, a leader in jet engine manufacturer for the military, with cost and termination proposals and audits of tools, causing the government to lower the government’s long standing risk assessment of GE Aviation’s proposal analysis efforts from high to medium, the lowest rating available for negotiated procurements.
